Whereas, pursuant to Notification No. LSGD/PD/24269/2024 EER1 dated 06.09.2024, published by the Director of Local Self Government Department (Rural) in Extraordinary Gazette No. 2888 dated 07.09.2024, the number of seats to be filled by direct election in Chirakkal Grama Panchayat in Kannur District was fixed at 24; and
Whereas, based on the same, draft proposals for dividing the said Grama Panchayat into 24 constituencies and for determining the boundaries of such constituencies were published vide Notification No. SDC/954/2024/SDC6 dated 18.11.2024; and
Whereas, time was allowed up to 04.12.2024 for submitting objections and suggestions regarding the said proposals, and the objections and suggestions so received were duly examined, the complainants were given an opportunity of being heard in person, and the same were considered and disposed of accordingly;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 10 of the Kerala Panchayat Raj Act, 1994, Chirakkal Grama Panchayat is hereby divided into 24 constituencies and the boundaries thereof are hereby determined as shown in the Schedule appended herewith, and the final order is hereby issued accordingly.
